Okay so I'm a few weeks into working at Arden and everything seems to be going well, I've had a couple of weeks of training which involved going over some general software concepts such as: Development Lifecycles and Source Control.
Recently me and another new starter have been working on a project together. It is only a small standalone application written in C++. It is essentially a chance to get used to their IDE and Source Control without having us get too in depth with the main program code base. I'm looking forward to where things are going to go over the next year or so. I've learnt quite a bit so far, although mostly about design. I'll update again soon. Keep it easy :)

Okay so I haven't written a post in a while, which is mainly because I haven't done any major code improvements. During September I worked full time trying to save up some money for my holiday which was at the end of September.
In September I also had a job interview for a CAD/CAM Software Development Company in Marple, called Arden Software. The interview went well and I have just finished my first week at Arden. I am looking forward to really getting stuck into development there and more than likely my other projects will be on hold due to the large amount of new things I will need to learn for my job role there. I will still be updating this blog hopefully at least twice a month with any major updates. I will also be adding posts about how progress at Arden is going. |
