Over the past few weeks I have had a massive workload at work, implementing a brand new 3D feature into the software which has taken a lot of my resources( time and energy levels ). This project is now in the polish phase of development which means I do have a little more time on my hands so I'm hoping to start being productive again soon.
On top of that project I am in the midst of moving to a flat in Manchester City Centre which is taking up a little time sorting out at the moment.
I have recently just come back from holiday in Mallorca with my family as well, so I have been fairly busy.
So even as I'm writing this it sounds like just a list of excuses that I'm using to get away with the fact that I have done no work on my own projects, which it is.
so I'm going to remind myself of a quote that I love:
"Excuses are like arse holes, Everybody has got one and they all stink".
Okay so where do I go from here?
Well as soon as I have moved in on friday I'm going to get my computer set up and focus on getting some work done. As I have noticed I've been spending a lot of time at the moment creating tools and features for my engine and not actually produced anything, I've decided I'm going to get the Level Editor to the bare minimum level and create a level. This essentially means I will just be ensuring that the Position, Rotation and Scale UI works and then getting on with it. I hope this light bit of work and creativity is enough to spur on some larger developments to get myself back on track.
Cheers :)
